This is a really nice place in a not so populous place of VT. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The entire property is quiet and lovely. The mini fridge has a proper freezer and fridge section. The folks running the place are friendly - pay the extra money for a good motel run by folks who aren't following a corporate playbook.
Wonderful little motel! Jen did everything to make it lovely and accommodating. Will be very happy to stay here again.
This place totally saved our weekend! We were tent camping nearby when the weather turned VERY nasty. We thought we might need to head back home (a three hour drive). Luckily Snowdon Chalet had a room available. We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and comfortable our room was. Also, the owner is super nice. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a great experience coming in January to XC ski. Room 7 had huge bunk beds, plus another double bed on the side. Perfect for our family of 3, could have held 2 more kids. Rooms were decent size, could have been cleaner, but we're ok for us. Owner was friendly. Breakfast to go. Nordic Ski is 3 minutes away, and we skied there for 8 hours our first time, exploring the trails. Great location. Do not expect the Ritz Carlton when booking (any) ski lodge.
After a long day riding bikes through the Vermont mountains, we rolled passed the vacancy sign at the Snowdon Chalet and how fortunate we were to do so. Jen and Dom were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was very clean and well-kept. Most importantly, it was comfortable, and we slept soundly before setting off on the bikes the next morning. The breakfast was amazing, and there were so many options. We were refreshed and fueled up. So happy we came across the Snowdon Chalet, and I would stay there again without hesitation.
5 stars, for what this place is - a great place to stay for a low maintenance vacationer to southern VT, who is on a reasonable budget. We stay here when skiing Magic Mtn with the kids. It's close to the mountain, comfortable, and has a nice outdoor breakfast bar. It may be a bit more expensive on high demand ski weekends, but that makes business sense. The host is friendly, the rooms have everything we need - a good-sized fridge, comfortable beds and extra blankets; and we like the old school, 60s chalet vibe.
What a fantastic find for our weekend at Magic. Super clean, comfortable beds, great little breakfast/coffee setup. So happy we found Snowdon and cannot wait to visit again.
I put a last minute trip with my son to get some skiing in and needed a place close to Magic Mountain. Jen and Dom were extremely pleasant, room was SUPER clean and totally was what we needed for a night in the area. It's an older place but the room had been upgraded and didn't feel gross in any way. If Magic gets a snow storm, I'll be using this place again to hit up the mountain! Thanks again!
